Today we’re launching Ampli.

We’re proud to announce Ampli Ventures, a new investment company focused on backing software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies in seed stage or Series A. Ampli was born out of a passion for working with early-stage SaaS businesses and helping them with hands-on expertise.

Ampli was founded by Adrian Iredahl & Hannah Meiton together with Alfvén & Didrikson. After years of working alongside in companies such as Mentimeter, ftrack, Kognity, and All Ears we are now formalizing our partnership and mutual interest in SaaS. During the next 2-3 years, we are looking to invest in 8-12 companies with equity tickets around €1-5m each.

Hannah has extensive operational experience from tech startups and SaaS businesses such as Soundtrack Your Brand, iZettle and Meltwater. She is also an active board member across multiple SaaS businesses. Adrian has spent the last years advising leading technology companies and investors on acquisitions, growth and value creation at management consulting company Bain & Company, and has previously worked at Alfvén & Didrikson.

The SaaS business model is continuing to sweep through the software industry, and is projected to continue growing at double digits. The Nordics has positioned itself as a leading region for new SaaS companies and will continue to be an exciting place for SaaS investments in the coming years.

What Ampli Ventures brings to the table is:

  • 100% focus on SaaS

  • Long-term horizon (no mandated exit horizon)

  • Founder friendly team with experience from leading hypergrowth and technology companies

  • Network of successful SaaS founders and investors available as sparring partners

  • Ability to support further expansions beyond Series A through connected investor community

"We believe that entrepreneurs are looking for active and long-term investors that can offer targeted support and sparring when building their businesses. With a tougher economic cycle approaching, that need could be accelerating. Our job is to work closely with the entrepreneurs and be their allies, helping them find the means of scaling while also balancing that with the need for a sustainable financial profile" says Adrian

So far, Ampli has made two investments in Insurely and Videoly. Insurely is a leading open insurance platform, helping to create win-win insurance experiences for insurance companies, banks and consumers. Videoly is a video content management tool for online retailers that automates the process for adding brand videos and user-generated content.

Ken Liebkind at Alfvén & Didrikson believes that Ampli can play an important role: "We see that there is a significant amount of early stage SaaS companies in the Nordics with tremendous growth potential. These companies often go through similar challenges, and there is a huge benefit from having investors with expertise and a relevant network"
